Updated Cart Delivery Information for Waste Pro Subscribers

Attention Waste Pro subscribers, cart delivery will be happening throughout the remainder of December and January, 2020. Reminder calls from Waste Pro will start on Sunday, Dec. 15, and cart delivery will start on Monday, Dec. 16 based on your trash collection schedule. Due to some recent changes/additions to the Waste Pro contact, the cart delivery schedule has been pushed back from initial projections. Waste Pro will be working toward delivery by the start of the new contract but please understand, some carts will be delivered through the end of January. You may start using your carts once you receive them. Bear-resistant carts will be delivered by Waste Pro and will be delivered on a different schedule. When this schedule is finalized, look for updates here and reminder calls from Waste Pro advising customers of the delivery schedule.

What You Need to Know

How will my cart be delivered?

Deliveries will occur Monday-Saturday and will be completed by the company Toter with assistance and oversight by Waste Pro. Toter will be primarily using 26-foot Ryder trucks with lift gates for deliveries.
You may begin using your carts as soon as they are delivered.

What will happen with my old cart?

Waste Pro carts that are currently in service will be replaced following collection. If you would like to get rid of your old trash cans, you may drop them off free of charge at the Buncombe County Landfill at 81 Panther Branch Road, Alexander, Transfer Station at 190 Hominy Creek Road, Asheville or Waste Pro’s Arden Location at 138 Tavistock Road, Arden. We will be recycling as many cans as possible. You may also call Waste Pro at 585-5074 to arrange a bulk pick-up for only $5 (normal bulk pick-up is $25) until March 31, 2020.

Why haven’t I received my cart yet?

Due to some recent changes/additions to the Waste Pro contact, the cart delivery schedule has been pushed back. Waste Pro will be working toward delivery by the start of the new contract but please understand, some carts will be delivered through the end of January. Your trash will continue to be picked up in your old containers until you receive your new carts.

My neighbor got their cart, but we haven’t gotten ours?

There could be multiple reasons for this, perhaps Toter needed to re-stock, your cart may be on a different truck, etc. You can call the Waste Pro hotline at 585-5074 if you have any questions.

How do I know which cart is mine?

For locations where multiple addresses share a collection point, each new container will have an address label on it.

I got my cart. Is this where it is supposed to go?

Yes, your cart will be placed where it should be placed for future service.

Is my trash day still the same?

You will receive a welcome packet with your cart that will provide your collection calendar, recycling information, and more. Most collection days will stay the same.

I still have questions, who do I call?

Please call the Waste Pro hotline at 585-5074 for any cart questions.

Visit the Waste Pro website for more details and links to schedule maps.

Reminders

If you have elected to purchase or lease a bear-resistant cart, you still have until Dec. 31, 2019, to trade in your approved bear-resistant cart to Waste Pro for a credit. Please contact Waste Pro at 585-5074.
