The Annual Lake Julian Kid's Fishing Tournament is taking place on Saturday, May 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Lake Julian Park.
This event is for anyone age 15 and under and there will be prizes awarded for the biggest fish, smallest fish, and most fish caught. Plus there is a free lunch after the tournament ends.
The cost of the tournament is $10 per child, which covers fishing bait, snacks and a free hot dog lunch at the conclusion of the tournament. No fishing license is required for children under 16 years of age.
This is a catch and release event. Lake Julian will supply a bucket for each competitor's catch. After the fish has been weighed and measured, it will be released back into the lake. Participants must bring their own poles. Fishing is allowed any place inside the Lake Julian Park boundaries. No boat fishing is allowed. All children must be accompanied by at least one adult.
