Sheriff's Office Annual Donation Drive

The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office will hold its annual donation benefitting the Black Mountain Home, Elida and Helpmate at Wal-Mart located at 125 Bleachery Blvd. in Asheville, around the clock, December 9th-11th.  The donation drive will be staffed by Sheriff’s Office personnel volunteering their time for the event.   The Sheriff’s Office is requesting that hygiene items, clothing, sporting goods, home supplies and miscellaneous items such as family-friendly DVD’s, flashlights and gift cards be donated.  These items will be given to the supply closets of the Black Mountain Home, Elida and Helpmate.

“Everyone at the Sheriff’s Office looks forward to this event,” Sheriff Van Duncan stated.  “The donation drive gives everyone who participates an opportunity to give back to local organizations some of our most vulnerable residents count on for services.”

This is the fourth year the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office will hold a donation drive to benefit these organizations.

For more information on donating items, please contact Natalie Bailey at (828) 250-4469.
