It’s time once again for the Buncombe County Festival of Lights at Lake Julian Park. This annual event is a way to transform our park into a winter wonderland and to spread the cheer of the season. Buncombe County Special Olympics will receive 20% of total ticket sales from the Festival of Lights.
Pile the family in the car, come on out, and light up your night at the Lake Julian Park Festival of Lights - drive thru. The drive thru show begins on Friday, December 2 and continues nightly from 6 – 9 p.m. through Friday, December 23. The park is brightly lit with thousands of colored lights and over 50 animated and stationary light displays. The road circling the park becomes a magical journey through tunnels of dazzling lights.
The cost for the drive thru is $5 a car, $10 a van and $25 for a motor coach. A portion of the proceeds are donated to Buncombe County Special Olympics. The park is off Long Shoals Road at 406 Overlook Road Extension in Arden. Directions...
