City Taking Public Comment on Dam Improvements TONIGHT

In an effort to prevent damage in the event of a natural disaster like a flood or earthquake, the City of Asheville has identified proactive improvement measures to be taken at the North Fork Reservoir to protect and improve critical infrastructure and resources.

Join the City of Asheville Water Resources Department, area fire departments and consulting engineers to learn more about the North Fork Reservoir Spillway and Embankment Improvement Project.

Staff and consultants will discuss the purpose of the project and how the City is proactively working to prevent potential damage associated with flooding or earthquakes.

The City Water Resources Department has hosted four public information meetings with one remaining to be held August 25 at the following location: 

  • August 25, 6:30 p.m. Bee Tree Fire Station’s Community Room, 510 Bee Tree Road.
