Join us for our local National Night Out (NNO) kickoff event from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 5 at Carrier Park on Amboy Road in West Asheville.
The celebration will feature food, public safety vehicles, backyard games with law enforcement officers, & a raffle of prizes provided by Target including 20 inch bikes (two for girls & two for boys). KISS FM/99.9 & LEAF & the Easel Rider Mobile Art Lab will provide entertainment for kids & adults. Public safety officers will be available to offer individuals & neighborhood groups tips & facts about crime prevention.
After the kickoff, neighbors are encouraged to return home to hold community oriented events in their neighborhood. Local law enforcement officers are available year-round to help develop strategies to build community solidarity against crime.
The event is hosted by the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office & the Asheville Police & Fire Departments, with the sponsorship support of Target, Inc. which is part of the ongoing support they provide to local law enforcement agencies & community groups throughout the country.
