Dental Health

Progressive public health efforts are providing dental care, hygiene assessment, education and treatment. Especially targeted are children in Buncombe County and the western region who ohave had limited or no access to dental care. How to get an emergency Dental appointment at the Health Center

The Adults call our clinic (250-5011) at 7:30 AM, in order to obtain one of the 5 appointment slots, for that afternoon. They are advised to check in on the first floor (DSS Access), no later than 12:30pm (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri). They must check in by 8:00am on Wednesdays. Then, they are given paperwork to fill out and are ready to be seen by the Emergency Dentist by 1:15pm (M, T, Th, Fri) or 8:15am (Wed).

The Parents of Children call our clinic (250-5011) at 8:00am, in order to obtain one of 3 appointment slots for later that morning (11:15am), from Monday - Thursday. On Fridays, we have half of the staff working, due to the FLEX Schedule. Therefore, up to 2 appointment slots are available at 11:15 AM.

However, Parents are advised to have their children at the check-in area (First Floor-DSS Access) no later than 10:30am. After check-in, they report to the Dental Clinic for the filling out of papers and are ready to see the Dentist by 11:15am.
