Disease Control  

The Disease Control Division provides investigation, surveillance, and prevention activities necessary to control communicable diseases and to protect the health of the public. Available services include immunizations, screening and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, HIV counseling and testing, tuberculosis testing and treatment, communicable disease monitoring, and education and information to the professional community and the general public.

Disease Control Services include:

  • Immunization Program
  • Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Program
    • Screening, education, treatment and follow-up for STDs (no charge)
  • HIV counseling and testing program (no charge)
  • TB Program
    • Skin testing (Self pay)
    • Chest x-ray clinic (no charge for TB clients)
    • Physician review and recommendation (no charge)
    • Treatment of disease and infection (no charge)
    • Surveillance and investigation (no charge)
  • Disease Control Program (no charge)
    • Surveillance and investigation of reported communicable diseases
    • Collaboration with hospital, physicians, and laboratories in reporting diseases
    • Education and information to the professional and lay communities
    • Provide support and investigation of biological or chemical threats

Hours of Operation:

Monday - Friday:
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

We accept only as many clients as can be safely seen by closing.

Clients must sign in no later than 30 minutes before closing.

How to get an appointment

Immunization (shots) – Walk-in basis (first come, first served)
Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Thursday evening clinic 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Foreign Travel Clinic - please call 250-5096 for an appointment.

Foreign Travel clients should sign in 15 minutes prior to appointment.

STD, HIV and TB appointments are available Monday Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Tuesdays 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. by calling 250-5109.

What to bring with you

  • Immunization
    • Immunization card showing past immunizations or "shot history".
  • Foreign Travel Immunization
    • Immunization card, travel itinerary, and current medications
  • TB
    • all records regarding diagnosis
