Asheville Greenworks has a great Food Tree Program where they visit communities with limited access to fresh, healthy food options to plant orchards. This will be their 5th orchard planting, so if you're looking for a great volunteering opportunity, mark your calendar.

Greenworks plans to plant 30 fruit trees to establish a beautiful and productive space within the neighborhood. Previously they've done work in Sand Hill, Hillcrest, Deaverview, and Burton.
