The Buncombe County Sheriff along with the DA and Asheville Police held a brief press conference on March 20 to review the arrest of Robert Jason Owens, 36, of 1 Owens Cove Road in Leicester in the case of missing Cristie Schoen Codd, 38, and Joseph “JT” Codd, 45, of 87 Hookers Gap Road in Leicester.
Owens has been charged with two counts of felony first degree murder, one felony count of breaking or entering, larceny after breaking and entering and free text felony. Owens is currently in the Buncombe County Detention Facility.
