The Friends of Collier Cove Nature Preserve will host the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of Buncombe County’s newest park, Collier Cove Nature Preserve, on Saturday, September 20 at 11 a.m.
Collier Cove Nature Preserve, located at 194 Rhododendron Drive in Arden, consists of over 29 acres of woodland hillside with two miles of well defined, steep and strenuous hiking trails with views of the valley and the eastern Butler Mountain Range.
On September 20, after the ribbon cutting ceremony, the Friends of Collier Cove will host a guided scenic walk up Trillium Trail over to Walnut Way.
Parking is limited at the trailhead site. Carpooling is suggested.
