The Friends of the Enka-Candler Branch Library will host A Look Back at the American Enka Corporation: A Dynamic Industry - a Vital Community Partner (1929-1985) on Thursday, October 23 at 7 pm at the library.
Roger and Anita Metcalf, who participated in every aspect of life growing up in Hominy Valley in the shadow of the American Enka Plant, will share their experiences and memories. Don’t miss this great opportunity to learn about these important times in our local history.
