Get a Box of Fresh Produce From A Local Farm Weekly

ASAP Vegetables

ASAP’s CSA Fair is an opportunity to meet farmers face-to-face and learn about their CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) programs and products. CSA subscribers receive a weekly box of fresh, locally grown produce or meat throughout the growing season. At the CSA fair, you can sign up to learn more or bring your checkbook to subscribe right on the spot! Groups from workplaces and religious congregations are encouraged to attend — many of the participating farms will deliver directly to these locations if there is sufficient demand.

Date: Thursday, March 16, 3–6 pm
Location: Jubilee! (46 Wall Street, Asheville)

All participating farms have pickup locations in Asheville or Buncombe County. The fair will also feature children’s activities and a local food tasting. Contact ASAP at 828-236-1282 or robin@asapconnections.org for more information.
This event is free and open to the public.

What is CSA or Community Supported Agriculture? CSA is a convenient way to enjoy fresh, locally grown food and connect with the farmers who grow it. Family farms offering traditional CSAs provide the chance to sign up for a growing season and receive a box of produce straight from the farm every week! Most CSAs offer convenient pick-up locations or delivery service. ASAP’s CSA Fair is the place to ask local farmers what products, membership options, and pick-up spots they offer.

What farms are participating? This year’s CSA fair features a dozen farms from throughout Western North Carolina. Options range from traditional veggie shares to meat add-ons to new options such as flower and salad packages. Check out our participating farms page for more details.

Are you a business interested in offering CSAs at your workplace? Learn about workplace CSA programs and bring community supported agriculture to your business. Some farms will deliver directly to a business or group that commits to a certain minimum number of shares.

Sponsor the fair and show your support for local food and farms! Contact Scott Bunn at scott@asapconnections.org for more information on how to sponsor future events.
