Every year ASAP, the Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project puts on a great farm tour as an opportunity to visit local farms, meet your local farms, try great produce, and get a behind the scenes peek into the inner workings of the farms of Western North Carolina.
This year the self-guided tour is taking place during the weekend of June 25th from 12PM - 5PM both days. There will be over 20 farms participating from:
- Madison
- Leicester
- Sandy Mush
- The East Cluster
- Candler
- Fairview
If it sounds like too much to do, don't worry, just print out a detailed map here and plan the farms you want to visit both days. While you're visiting ASAP's website, asapconnections.org, you can check out their local food guide. It has everything you want to know about our local farmers markets, including locations, times, and products available.
