National Girls & Women in Sports Day - March 2

Early registration extended through February 27!

National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) will be held at UNC Asheville on Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. This community event is designed to expose women and girls to a variety of activities that will inspire them to lead active, healthy lives.

This year’s event is open to women and girls (ages 6 and up) as a chance to try a new sport or fitness class, or build skills in a sport of interest. Registration is open now. The cost is $10 per person and includes lunch and a t-shirt. The cost after February 15 is $15 per person.

NGWSD is sponsored by Buncombe County Parks, Greenways and Recreation in collaboration with Asheville Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts Department, Girls on the Run, Girl Scouts of WNC Pisgah Council, Ultimate Frisbee Club, YMCA and the YWCA.
