Support the Senior Wish Tree

Again this year, the Adult Services Division of Buncombe County Health and Human Services will sponsor the “Senior Wish Tree”.

The purpose of this project is to provide Christmas for elderly and/or adults with disabilities in our community that have no family support.

Simply choose a name from one of our two Holiday Bulletin Boards – one at our agency on 40 Coxe Avenue and another at 35 Woodfin.

The “wish lists” will have some identifying characteristics… name, sex, age, and some specific wishes or gift ideas.  Fill as many wishes as your circumstances allow, and return the wrapped gift(s) to a location to be determined.

Gifts need to be returned by December 12.  By returning your gifts promptly, it allows staff from Adult Services and participating agencies to deliver the gifts the week before Christmas.

If you have any questions you may call Roxann Sizemore at 250-5721, or email her at roxann.sizemore@buncombecounty.org. The Holiday boards with names of seniors and adults with disabilities will be available by November 16.
