The Adult Unit has a Social Worker available Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., to answer phone calls or take walk-ins.
Our intake Social Worker has information not only about Social Services provided services but also services provided by other agencies.
Adult Services Intake Services include:
- Receives reports of abuse, neglect and or exploitation of the disabled
- Receives complaints regarding Adult Care Homes
- Takes referrals for CAP, InHome, Guardianship, Payee, etc
- Refers person to outside community agencies when appropriate
- Makes reports or directs people to law enforcement when appropriate
- Makes arrangements for unclaimed bodies

If you have any questions you may call the Adult Service Intake line at 250-5800, or come into our office located at 40 Coxe Ave.
To make a Protective Service Referral call our Intake Unit at 250-5800 between the hours mentioned above, no appointment needed. If it is an emergency and after 5:00 or on weekends you may call 211 or 252-HELP(4357) if outside the city limits, or from a cell phone.
