Buncombe Aging Services Alliance

The Buncombe Aging Services Alliance (formally the Aging Coordinating Consortium (ACC)) provides networking, collaboration, advocacy, and education for aging service providers.

BASA meets the 3rd Wednesday of most months from 1:00-2:30 p.m. at the Land of Sky Regional Council.

Background

BASA is a group made up of aging service providers and community volunteers who meet on a monthly basis to:

  1. Discuss aging service provisions in Buncombe County;
  2. Provide opportunities for networking;
  3. Educate and learn about services for older adults;
  4. Update agencies on new services, issues, funding opportunities, and program development;
  5. Advocate for aging services on the local, state, and national levels.
