All Buncombe County Government Offices and Buncombe County Public Libraries will be closed on Monday, January 16 for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
The Landfill and Transfer Station will be open regular hours.

Peace March & Rally: Monday, Jan. 16: 11:30 a.m. at St. James AME Church, 44 Hildebrand St.; 12:00 Noon march to City-County Plaza. FREE and open to the public.
Candlelight Service: Monday, Jan. 16: 6:00 p.m. at the Fellowship Hall of Central United Methodist Church, 27 Church Street, downtown Asheville. FREE and open to the public
There will be a Peace March & Rally on Monday, January 16 at 11:30 am starting at St. James AME Church and ending at Pack Square and a Candlelight Ceremony on Monday the 16th at 6 pm at Nazareth First Baptist Church.
