Buncombe County Government Offices & Libraries will be closed:
- Monday, January 1 for New Year's.
Note: Although the tax office will be closed, any property tax payments dropped in the Property Tax payment dropbox on or before Sunday, December 31, 2017 will be picked up and processed with the date of December 31, 2017.
A drive through dropbox is located in the driveway of the Family Justice Center at 35 Woodfin Street in downtown Asheville. Include your payment coupon with your check and drop it in the box for processing.
Landfill & Transfer Station:
- Closed on Monday, January 1.
- Extended Hours: Saturday, December 30 and Saturday, January 6, the landfill will have extended hours, staying open until 3 p.m. each of those Saturdays.
