Ahoy readers! Set sail for Buncombe County Public Libraries’ summer reading program for 2010, Make a Splash—READ! You might create a sea serpent, attend shark school, design a boat or discover an ocean of books. Summer reading programs are free and there will be activities for children of all ages.

Registration for the 2010 Summer Reading Program will begin June 1 at eleven libraries across Buncombe County. Stay tuned for more details.

Summer Library Fest

Don't miss our annual summer reading kick-off party, the Summer Library Fest. This year we'll be groovin' with local family friendly hip-hop artist Secret Agent 23 Skidoo. Join us at the Smith-McDowell House on Thursday, June 17 for two free shows, one at 10am and another at 11:30am.
